4 Step Morning Routine

This is another approach to your best day. If you feel overwhelmed, this is for you.

This worksheet has only four things for you to focus on that will have you feeling better: your daily gratitude, your to-do list, the vibe you need to accomplish that, and how to be an energy match for it.

It’s super simple and it works.

We start with gratitude to put your brain in the right mindset.

Then, list out what you want to get done. I have you limit it to 5 tasks so you don’t overwhelm yourself. You want to get into the habit of only planning what you’ll do so you can actually do it. In the time allowed section, this is how much time you will spend on your task. For example, 5 minutes to clean the bathroom. In the time completed section, you write what time you will do it, like 9am. This helps you plan out your day in a doable way.

The vibe you need to embody to actually do it comes from how you feel. Feelings drive actions. If you want to do something, you need to feel in a way that has you taking that action. If I want to feel motivated, I’m going to need to find a compelling reason. Your compelling reason will be your thought about why you want it done. Going with the bathroom example, my thought would be, “The sooner I get this done, the sooner I get to get back to my book.”

Then, you have to generate your energy to match that. If you don’t believe what you’re telling yourself, the thought will fall flat and the feeling you need won’t be there. I like to think about energy as my self concept. Who do you need to be to accomplish your tasks? In the worksheet I walk you through creating an “I am” statement so you can become an energy match. With the bathroom example, I would use, “I am organized and I have fun.”

Using I am, I can, or I have statements will help you generate your energy.

I hope you enjoy this worksheet and find it helpful!
